Although it has been since 2008 I had a toddler in the home, I'm convinced that if teens handled obstacles like toddlers, they would avoid a lot of pain and suffering. After viewing this video, reflect on the following principles of problem solving with your teen:
1. When challenges arise, tackle them with enthusiasm, quickness, and determination.
2. Despite your best efforts, detours will need to be taken and plans altered.
3. Thinking you have all the answers is a dangerous mind-set.
4. Relying on the advice of "Dad" or other trusted adults is vital to your safety and completion of a task.
