After spending an untold amount of money on Rubbermaid storage boxes and surviving hours spent looking for carefully crafted Christmas decor, lights, and extension cords long enough, but not too long, I have finally arrived at "my" tracking system! (It only took me 25 years!)
With this system, I can put up my decorations in one day (with the help of the children and hubby)!
My google experience generally does not include browsing for craft projects to endure and create. My PINTEREST "craft" board is nearly empty, however, I do search for "kid-friendly" holiday crafts. When I happened upon this "crafting" product, I was hooked. Easy•••••Inexpensive•••••Limitless•••Engaging Made by the trusted brand, Crayola, the clay-like substance is not only moldable for small fingers, but it is very lightweight for displaying, storing, and shipping. Young and old creative personalities enjoy working with and making something out of this affordable product. The clay dries quickly and can be brought to life with a little craft paint color or simply displayed in its natural form which comes in all primary colors. And if it does not turn out how one envisioned...........
Making memories is sometimes only for the REMEMBERING years later! One such event that is not always so delightful DURING the moment is taking the kids to see Santa. However, keep in mind that the photographs of the moment 19 years later don't come with sounds of screaming toddlers or teens nor do they require a fashion consultant's opinion on what not to wear!
My only daughter is now 6 and holidays with her seem to bring out something in me that lay dormant with the three other boys. Although I attempted to introduce crafts and decorating edible items to the boys, these events mostly left me abandon in the kitchen completing the task. My confidence in mothering shattered, I would pick up the pieces of my wounded heart and clean up the remnants of the project. Why did these three creatures not want to spend time creating something yummy and fun?
